SugarCRM is the major open source customer relationship management (CRM) platform; following the release of version 6, it is also certified for deployment on the Microsoft Windows Azure platform.
Interestingly SugarCRM competes directly with Microsoft’s own CRM platform as well as Software-as-as-Service providers, such as Salesforce.

Research commissioned by datacenter solution provider Brocade reveals
that 60% of European enterprises believe that within the next two
years they will have started planning and migration towards cloud
clouding. Whilst cost reduction is seen as a major driver by 30% of
enterprises, more than a third believe security to be a major obstacle
to moving into the cloud.

Microsoft’s free online version of its Office suite, Office Web Apps,
is now available to users in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland. It needs
a Windows Live ID to sign in.
In an interview, the president of Microsoft’s server and tools
business talked about the shifts to the cloud, Google’s role in the
enterprise and the future of Microsoft’s server products, including
the next version of Windows Server.

Although Google Storage for Developers is currently available to a limited number of U.S. developers only, its pricing looks very similar to Amazon Simple Storage Service
