Change Management

Executing a project or programme successfully often turns out to be just the first part of a successful investment. Putting in a new accounting system on time does not necessarily mean that cashflow will improve. It may mean that information is more accessible but this does not in itself cause a change in the behaviour of the credit control people.

The positive change that can arise as a result of investments in new technology  usually requires more management effort than originally envisaged.

Successful change means encouraging people to adapt to new processes. This requires not only effective new processes but also an active management of the output from those processes.

Given the growing tide of migration of corporate systems and infrastructure to the Cloud there is an increasing demand for effective management of this type of change. One important part of it is to show the financial benefits of change on this scale. Our senior consultants are particularly adept at realising these financial benefits.

We can provide senior consultants to work with your team to plan and deliver entire change programmes or specific parts of them. All our people have at least ten years change management experience and all of them are equipped with the skills needed to deliver sustainable and demonstrable results.

A rapid assessment of the scale, potential benefits and key risks inherent in any planned change programme can be conducted quickly using our Rapid Expert Service.  Longer term engagements are provisioned from our In Depth Expert Service.

Examples of our previous work include:

  • Merging two established and very different corporate IT organisations.
  • Integrating an acquired technology company into a much bigger, more structured new owner, without loosing key staff and know how.
  • Modelling the technology based financial implications and potential actions required if the manufacturing bases of two organisations were to be merged.
